Miriam is blessed with an outstanding voice and musicality, and is with selec- ted musicians performing soulful jazz / blues and gospel.
She believes that songs performed by "the Grand Ladies" through the "daring twenties to the liberal sixties" is worth not to be forgotten, and she is giving the songs "new life" interpreting the stories and allowing the emotions and feelings shine through.
Just listening to "Summertime" and feel the desperation of the poor nanny, to "Crazy" and get the feeling of a woman in love with a "not so loyal man", or the temptation of the neglected wife in "Almost Persuaded"...
She is strongly inspired by Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith, Billie Holliday, Etta James, Dinah Washington and Aretha Franklin, Miriam Makeba, just to name a few, but still in the search for the "almost forgotten" songs telling a story and emotions, we can still relate to today....
